The ancient mysticism of the island of Pag.
In May 1999, by sheer chance, a kind of puzzle in the category of UFO mysteries was discovered - the Pag Triangle. On the eastern part of the island, at the foot of Velebit, and above the historical settlement of Caska, an unusual stone triangular formation was noticed by geodetic measurement. It was established that it is an isosceles triangle with an area of 500m2, which differs in color and shape from the surroundings and is clearly visible from the air. Due to the rather inaccessible terrain off road routes and common paths, it remained hidden from the prying eyes of people for centuries. But what if this very feature became attractive to extraterrestrial beings in one of their visits to our planet?
The stones inside the triangle are round and cylindrical in shape, which indicates its processing. Additionally, after exposing the stones inside the triangle to ultraviolet rays, it emits a red color, indicating that it was thermally treated according to some theories 12,000 years ago. The stones radiate such a color after exposure to extreme temperatures, such as during volcanic activity, which has never occurred on Pag.
The phenomenon of the Pag Triangle has intrigued many geologists and ufologists, and due to the impossibility of proving the way of its origin, numerous theories have sprung up. Thus, some believe that the origin of the Pag Triangle can be rationally attributed to the play of nature or to ancient Neolithic hunters and gatherers who used it for ritual purposes, while others claim that it represents the footprint of an extraterrestrial spacecraft, a guide for extraterrestrial spacecraft to the constellation Sirius or a reflection of the constellation Cepheus.
Whatever it is, this unusual phenomenon makes the entire island of Pag even more mystical and interesting, and makes a kind of addition to the epithet of the island of the surface of the moon.
